The Damianos Team
Lynne Damianos
Project Manager / Publisher
Long ago and far away in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lynne co-published a mimeographed neighborhood newsletter while in elementary school titled (interestingly enough) “The Viking Press.” She loved connecting all the parts – the project management aspect that brought together content, imagery, printing, marketing and delivery.
After receiving her BS in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, Lynne continued her editorial work for years as editor of the CIPNE Journal, a professional trade publication for the Commercial Industrial Photographers of New England.
Time moved on, and as Lynne pursued her other passion via Damianos Photography, she continued to be called upon as a resource for a variety of publications. She eventually published her first book, The Bancroft Building and Its People to document and celebrate the history and images of characters in her studio mill building. This project led to a request to publish a similar book with a more extensive history, The Saxonville Mills: Three Centuries of Industry in Framingham where she teamed up with historical researcher and author Kevin A. Swope and editor James L. Parr.
After learning the pitfalls to avoid and the details necessary to produce an engaging and quality book, Lynne realized she’d be a great resource for authors looking to publish their own book. With so many online resources out there (yet very few live human beings to speak with), Lynne knew where she could make a difference. Her vision of a hybrid publishing company emerged . . . one that would offer a la carte services tailored to each author, not preset packages that didn’t offer enough or included more than needed. She launched Damianos Publishing in 2012, aligning the firm with specialists in design, editing, marketing, plus a world-class book printer/distributor with over a century of experience. Now she is able to provide the ultimate in quality, services and competitive rates for her clients.
When not connecting the dots, Lynne enjoys photography, kayaking, yoga, hiking, ballroom dancing, and hand bell ringing (“bell therapy”).

Let Brett make sure your book is as good as it can be. And when it’s done, Brett can also help you with marketing and publicity to ensure it gets the attention and audience it deserves.
Brett graduated from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts, magna cum laude, with a BA in English, and later earned a master’s degree in technical and professional writing from Northeastern University, and a certificate in project management from Boston University. He is an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University, where he teaches in a graduate-level technical communication program.
